Loving Microalgae Beads and Liquid Collagen
Updated: Sep 28, 2021
I sometimes shake my head when I think of the many chemical-based products I used on my face in the early days, which is why I wanted to try Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen. It's a plant-based, vegan collagen serum that is designed to restore skin's resilience. And, since my skin has become more crepey with age, I am all about gaining resilience. Not just my capacity to recover quickly from life's challenges but also to use best skincare products that help my face bounce back into shape due to improved elasticity.
Algenist uses Microalgae Oil that hydrates, replenishes and gives your face a boost of radiance. Did it for me? Yes! Algenist's formula, Active Vegan Collagen™, helped restore suppleness to my cheeks, and, along with its patented Alguronic Acid, reduced noticeable lines and wrinkles on my entire face. The product is formulated 13K microalgae beads to hydrate and nourish while Omega 3, 6, and 9 helps for a smooth texture, and vitamin E acts as an anti-oxidant to protect skin from free radicals.
It is also reviewed as a great serum for maturing skin as it plumps and smooths where you need it. One negative seems to be that the pump is not always effective and to remedy that I removed it, turn the bottle upside down on a finger and applied to my face and neck.
In addition, many follow-up with Algenist POWER Advanced Wrinkle Fighter Moisturizer. This formula, also vegan, contains Alguronic Acid and AlgaProtein providing amino acids and antioxidants to moisturize and brighten tired complexions and reduce fine lines.
Apply a pearl-size amount of this POWER moisturizer 2x daily to face, neck and decollete. It is good for most skin types: Sensitive, Mature, Dry, Normal. It claims to improve firmness and elasticity for a healthy and more youthful complexion and to target fine lines, dark spots and uneven skin tone.
As this blog promotes the idea that your face deserves the best, give both products a try and let us know what you think.
