What's The Deal With Face Oil? Steps to Skin Care.

Updated: Sep 28, 2021

I wasn't really familiar with face oil skin care products aside from occasionally rubbing organic coconut oil on my face from my kitchen shelf. I use coconut oil in my Keto coffee, so I would dab a little on my face to moisturize while stirring it in my coffee. The same can be said for olive oil on my arms during a stir fry. However, olive and coconut oils leave my skin greasier than I like. So, I thought it was time to drop the dime and try luxury face oil products. I tried Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil first and then NUORI Perfecting Facial Oil. Here's the nitty gritty on both.

Bobbi Brown The Extra Face Oil is a skin care product meant to stay on and moisturize so I decided to use it at night while I slept. It’s very light weight and I didn't need much to smooth over my face. I use the pads of my fingers. I truly enjoyed it for moisturizing the driest parts of my face, and didn't feel greasy. The fragrance is initially strong upon opening it, but after using it a bit and letting the oils breathe with each use I loved the fragrances of patchouli, lavender and sandalwood essential oils. If those scents don't appeal to you, this product is not for you. It's also formulated with value-added vitamin E and sesame, sweet almond, olive, and jojoba oils, which are always welcomed on my face.

Once I finished Bobbi Brown Extra Face Oil, I bought NUORI Perfecting Facial Oil online at Dermstore. I decided to try NUROI because I was completely unfamiliar with this skin care brand. Had you heard of it till now? The product is great to add as a step to skin care rich in essential fatty acids, the building blocks of healthy cell membranes. We need that! NUORI Facial Oil is a plant-based formula that includes organic rosehip and evening primrose oil and Vitamin E to nourish your skin while reducing appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Did it do that for me? Yes.

It was so moisturizing that my crepey cheeks and fine lines became smoother and less noticeable. So, needless to say, it soon became part of my morning skincare routine.

I have to say, both products are winners to me.
